With our new integration for Slack, Index gives product teams a faster, clearer path from insight to action:

• Capture product insights at the source — turn any Slack message into a structured piece of feedback in Index with just a few clicks

• Stay in sync — get automatic updates in Slack when project statuses change or deadlines approach

• Collaborate with context — share Index links that unfurl with rich previews, so everyone stays aligned without switching tools

Use Linear statuses directly in Index, or customize status options to build a custom workflow.

• Connecting Linear automatically imports your status options
• Linear status options can be changed from Linear and will appear in Index
• You can continue using separate Index statuses, and can now customize these to suit your team's needs

We're already using status customization to build roadmaps using the popular "Now, Next, Later" workflow. Other teams are leveraging Basecamp's Shape Up methodology, going from "Shaping", to "Betting", and finally "Building".

Go to the Status field to add and remove status options. If Linear is connected, your statuses will appear automatically.

Index now supports push, pull, and sync for Linear Initiatives.

If you've been planning an initiative in Index that's now ready to push to Linear, simply click the "Push" button on the Linear field. The Linear Initiative will be created, with key metadata carried over and synced back to Index if changes are made later.

You can also open the Linear dialog to view existing Linear Initiatives and bring them in to Index.

This feature is an important milestone in our commitment to being the best product planning system for teams using Linear for delivery. There's much more to come soon, and we're excited to continue deepening this integration over the coming months.

Clean up views faster with the ability to select multiple rows.

Hover to the left of the project name in the table view to select the row. You can also click the box in the top left of the table to select every item in the view.

Once selected, you can take actions on these items in one click, such as confirming a bulk archive. Small quality of life improvement, handy way to speed up your workflows!

The Timeline layout now supports events, making it easier than ever to communicate goals, key dates, and important deadlines when presenting your roadmap.

Hover over any date and click to add an event. It'll appear in your timeline as a visual aid for planning and stakeholder presentations. If the date changes, simple drag the event to re-position it.

Customers are already using events in the timeline to show the run up to key events like annual conferences. Click, name, and enjoy!

Easily collect project ideas from across your organization with templates. Templates give you the power to:

• Add structure and guidance to the project description area
• Show specified fields in the form
• Share a form link for others to submit ideas through your template
• Set a default template for creating projects in a specific view

Product leaders are already using templates to collect ideas from their teams in a structured way, making it easy to capture and plan with this information in one place.

View and manage all of your templates (and grab the link to the shareable form) from Settings > Templates in your workspace.
